Its been a while since I've posted! Blogging consistently is harder than it looks, but at the same time you get inspired daily by reading other blogs and seeing photos on Instagram. Which motivates me to blog, but in reality school and real world duties tend to get in the way.
Its amazing to see how far modest fashion has boomed in just the past year. At first it just began as a small knit community of women in various social networks, putting together outfits to inspire other girls, but now it has exploded to become a universal trend. Where muslim women are seen as 'fashionable'? as absurd as it may sound to some people; being fashionable is more than showing bare legs and wearing low cut blouses, it can also be modest. Likewise, this whole modest fashion trend is more than posting OOTD's; it also brings us (muslim women) together, whether your from the UK, Canada, or Kenya. This commonality unites us because we all share one passion, one faith, and one mission.
Now to the Outfit:
- My inspiration for this look came from the scarf itself. It screamed spring! but my heart was still lost to winter, so I had to go full on dark (... well navy blue.) I did two variations of the outfit using the same maxi dress from Forever 21. The outfits are really causal b/c of the jean shirt & the lazy cardigan; which is perfect for an everyday school look!
